2009
The Frederick Memorial Hospital Cancer Program was surveyed by the Commission on Cancer (COC), the only national accreditation for cancer programs in hospitals, freestanding treatment facilities, and healthcare network cancer programs in the United States. The FMH Cancer Program was awarded a "Three Year Accreditation with Six Commendations." Our program ranked in the top 405 of 1400 Comprehensive Community Cancer Center programs surveyed by the COC.
2008
Drs. O'Connor, and Eskander were recognized in Frederick Magazine's Top Docs Poll.
Oncology Care Consultants (OCC) received the Community Oncology Research Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and was awarded a $30,000 grant to improve clinical research programs. OCC was one of only three practices in the nation to receive this award in 2008.
2002
The American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer recognized the Frederick Memorial Hospital Cancer Program as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program, an honor only about 22% of hospitals in the nation achieve.
1989
Since 1989, the Frederick Memorial Hospital Regional Cancer Therapy Center has been recognized as one of the top 100 cancer centers in the United States by Coping Magazine.

If you are having an emergency, please call 911. If you have an urgent problem, we have a physician on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can reach the physician by calling the office number, (301) 662-8477. After regular office hours, the physician on call will return your call as soon as possible.
Telephone Calls
If you are having an emergency, please call 911. Please call the office if you have any questions regarding your medical condition, medications, and/or treatment. Most of the time a nurse will return your call and can answer most questions that you may have. Telephone calls, which are not emergencies, will be returned between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and after 4 p.m.
